January started out with a bang, I joined Spark Coach Consistency and Motivation program which opened up my eyes to new things. Gave me the motivation I need to get back on track. And getting back on track I was able to reach one of my goals to be 21 days binge free. I am not perfect so after over 21 days I did binge again but got right back on track and am going to do an other 21 days binge free. I know now I can do it.
I joined January Jump Start Fitness challenge and started doing strength training everyday working different muscle groups. I increased my cardio to include a 30 minute walk most days of the week on top of riding my exercise bike 30 minutes every day. And yes I did see a drop in my weight, not a whole lot but I am really happy with what I did lose. I can't wait to go to my doctors next week and show him my weight loss.
I did have a little stress this month as my Hubby who had started to be my workout buddy was taken to bed for over a week with arthritis. He is only 68 and should not be bedridden, but he was. I could not get him to go to the doctors and I worried that this was what life would be like from now on. I read up on what to do to treat arthritis and found that he needed to take ibuprofen and use a heating pad on the joint that was hurting. After a day and a half of this treatment he was up and walking around again.
All and all I would say January was a good month and I am looking forward to new challenges in February.
