Between hand shoveling my 120x30 foot driveway and lugging wood to the basement for the wood stove I have definitely gotten my exercise today!
My dishwasher has been replaced! Kitchen Aid stands behind their warranty. I had a 25 year one on the tub and when they could not replace it they gave me FREE a new dishwasher! NO installation fees or costs what=so-ever! And this one has a life time warranty with a stainless steel tub. I hope to never out live this one.
Still eating what I want and no weight gained. I am hoping the exercise helps with the losing.
I have been reading quite a bit and watching movies from the library for entertainment. I repaired a dish that broke and some de-cluttering this week as well. And dental appointment which went well.
I attended an intro course for becoming a Master Gardener but after I heard all the requirements and what I could not do, the volunteering began to sound more like a job with chains and no pay.
I have been enjoying my freedom since I retired. I find plenty to do and am rarely bored. When I retired the first time at 51 after 3 months I became bored, re-opened my business and then took a part time job. When the business became a chore-I retired from that. When the part time job was feeling more like prison--I retired again. I guess I needed to ease into retirement after working 70 hour weeks.
Getting used to idleness and having freedom was quite an adjustment. Like driving a race car then stuck in traffic with no where to go. My engine was still running but I could not run. Now I drive a go cart with only gravity or my own power to move it. Suddenly I see the view I missed driving the race car. Now I am pedaling, enjoying the view with some occasional gravity to prod me on. It is rather nice.
