When I was younger my mum used to always give me yoghurt with honey because it was a health dessert/treat to give kids, and she always maintained that it was good for us especially when we are sick. When we get older we forget some of the foods our parents gave us...but today, still feeling a little sick I was seeking some comfort food and that was exactly what I felt like. I forgot how simple and basic it is to prepare, but how much Ive always liked it...I actually cant believe it fell out of my regular diet as a treat. It made me reflect on how many other eating habbits Ive kept or discarded from my mother....and thankfully Ive kept alot of them and perhaps the issue with my weight is not always the type of food im eating but more the portion sizes. Its nice to know that my mum taught me the right things when it came to nutrition as I know lots of people my age who havent the slightest clue how to prepare healthy and nutritious food.
