So since it's still too cold for me to start running again (I know, many northerners must think I'm a pansy) but anywho I 've been using the Kinect fitness game "Your Fitness Evolved 2012" which in the most part I find it to be fantastic. The only issue I've found is it to count calories burned completely incorrectly. I used my heart rate monitor yesterday with it. The game said I burned 7 calories in the warm up, while my heart rate monitor said 31. So Ive been getting chipped in calories burned it seems. But I do like it a bit better than most dvds I've tried, mostly because the dvds I have make me feel like death is upon me. The game works me out pretty hard, but it stops me from walking away because it notices when you've walked away.
" Was it something I said?"
"Uh where did you go?"
Things like that. My favorite cardio so far is easily the boxing. I find it to be a lot more fun and less silly then some of the other choices. Like skating from side to side in my living room honestly makes me feel like the biggest boob there is. So I enjoy it, and I like the boot camp section not because it easy or even remotely fun but because it feels like a good workout. You know, those one's you feel the day after? Like those.
SO far with my food the only issues I'm having is the fact that I'm closing at work (I'm a cashier) for the next 6 days and that means less time to make dinner and more likely to make poor decisions. My husband's been a super star and has dinner ready for me every time I've gotten home this past week which I have to say I am super impressed and incredibly grateful due to the fact I know after working his hours at his job (AIR FORCE) he doesn't want to move let alone make dinner. Another sad thing is he hasn't been enjoying coming home to an empty house either, so he's been staying later at work to do more jobs. I feel guilty about it, but the only thing I can figure is requesting less days of closing or simply saying I can not close any longer. Hopefully after this week I won't have to close for a while.
Other than that, I've been doing well on my fitness and eating. I did splurge a little with popcorn last night, but it replaced dinner so, even trade right? And this morning the scale blessed me with 229.6. I didn't believe it so I re-weighed myself a couple of times. So 3 lbs down, pretty stoked about that! I'm just glad that I have a good support system, spark people, and my husband. And a great goal.
