I received my new pink Fitbit Zip late yesterday afternoon. Easy to set up, I was surprised at how small it is, yet how much it can calculate! Even with the few hours I had it on in the house, it was amazing how many steps I took! Too bad it doesn't measure spinning as well. (smiling) BTW, clipped to my bra, it has a very secure clip and case.

Seeing actual numbers is eye opening; kinda like the time when I started here on SP and began paying attention to reading calories on food labels. Wow, nothing like seeing those numbers!

This is going to be fun! Wishing all a good weekend.

Does "spinning" refer to the bike? If so, the numbers will still be off, but closer if you clip the Fitbit on the laces of one of your shoes.

If we have to have an addiction, can't think of a better one. It takes effort to get the 10000 doesn't it? Here's to our addiction, and may it LAST!!!

I've thought of getting a Fitbit for ages now and like getting feedback about them. So far, it's all been positive so I'm leaning towards purchasing one.
Will look for more blogs from you about your, really enjoy the info.
Thanks for sharing.

I think you will enjoy your FitBit. As another Sparkler said, you can compete against yourself from day to day (or you can compare yourself to others on the FitBit site). It helps with combatting the temptation to be sedentary for very long. Get those step in! emoticon

Welcome to our team and I can see that it has already taken a hold of you! LOL
I have owned a FB for over three years and I can't even imagine going anywhere without it on my person! I am a competitive person but quite honestly my biggest competition is me. I love trying to beat my numbers from the day before or reaching my daily goals. And I know that in order to do so I have to move. My FB is such a great motivator, I love it!

Enjoy your Fitbit ! But do be careful. Because it's so small it is easy to lose. I find keeping it clipped to my pocket much more secure than clipping to my pants. It nearly slipped off my pants ! EEK !

Yay! I'm having a ton of fun with mine. I look at it constantly and find myself trying to get more steps just so I can see higher numbers. Have a great weekend!

I just got one as well so I am not too addicted yet but I do love it so far. I got the One so I could measure my sleep as that is my obsession right now. Have fun with your new tool!

I love my FitBit. I have the Ultra, which is the original one. I just purchased one on ebay for a friend of mine who can't afford one. I got it for about $25 (I know, great deal!) It is used, so I hope it holds it charge. If you want to be friends on fitbit, you can find me here: .

Uh oh.... better go read the blog post I wrote this morning......that little Fitbit is AH-MAZING but addicting! Welcome to the "I just need to run up and down the stairs 5 more times to get my 50 floor badge" club. Or, the "just let me walk 7 more laps around the family room to get my 20,000 step badge" club.

If you like numbers and you like competition, you're going to love your Fitbit!

I better run, I've only got 2 floors in this morning which is only the equivalent of climbing a tall giraffe according to Fitbit.

Good Luck!

Lori (proud recent recipient of the Skydiver badge for climbing 1000 floors LOL)
