Yesterday's training sesssion found muscles I didn't know I had. I will be totally honest with you and tell you that I hurt in places I have NEVER hurt before. Who knew? There are little muscles all over our bodies and I think many of them had been neglected because my fitness sessions were focused mainly on the large muscles uses in walking/cycling etc.
My legs are not that sore today as I have done a good job getting them in shape post TKR but my upper body. OWWW! The trainer said not to repeat the circuit for at least three days. It is important to let those muscles heal. Monday morning I will hit the gym and repeat the circuit training and until then I will be doing cardio only.
My treadmill is old (I bought it in 1996) so I think I'm going to ask for a new one for Valentine's Day as mine is so basic. Why not ask for exercise EQ instead of chocolates, roses and jewelry? Been there, done that, time to TREAT my body to health!
