Since joining Spark People a year ago, I've worked to cut out sugar from my diet. Here are a three of my life changes:
1. I make my own salad dressings-healthier oils and no sugar.
2. I buy fresh peanut butter-no sugar.
3. I drink seltzer water instead of soda-no sugar.
Every week I find one small area to either change or learn about. I watch Dr. Oz almost every evening, and learn from what he has to say. I'm reading Dr. Joel Fuhrman's book Eat to live with Diabetes.
It's the small, simple changes that make a BIG difference. My glucose readings have gone from 180 to a consistent 110. I have more energy and I feel great all because I'm eating to live rather than living to eat.
