We were expecting rain so we decided to stay close to home. We went to nearby Chambers Bay thinking we'd get the 3.25 loop done in no time but about halfway through the loop is a bridge over the railroad tracks that gets you to the beach. The sky was brightening up so we decided to check out the beach. We walked as far north then as far south as we could go which is about 2 more miles. We had the whole beach to ourselves and made the only tracks in the sand. It warmed up to around 50 and no rain=) It was a lot of fun!
This is one of our favorite places and we haven't been there in a while. It's great you got to enjoy a little sunshine while you were there. I have a feeling it wasn't so nice over there today with the wind. Thanks for sharing and the reminder to go over then next time were in the area. 1856 days ago
I miss that walk so much!!! I didn't find it until the last 5months or so that I lived in Puyallup, but boy did I take a lot of walks there. Such a great loop. I wish they had opened the walkway over the water before I left; I think the opening was just a week or so after I moved. When I get back to WA to visit, the Chambers Bay walk is a must along with the OP and Ranier. 1856 days ago
What a cool beach! I love rocky beaches like what you all have up in the northwest! I goggled Chambers Bay and what an interesting area...lots of islands and parks nearby on on Puget Sound! Good for you keeping up with your hikes/walks!! 1856 days ago
