Sweet 16

Friday, January 25, 2013

If I could go back in time to the wonderful age of 16 would I.................... Hell yes.
Would I change anything?................ Hell No.
When I was 15 I meet the man of my dreams, he was tall dark and a musician, I fell in love and when I turned sweet 16 we were engaged. One week after turning 17 we were married. I wore a paper wedding dress, it was amazing and also televised as it was the first in the Southern hemisphere, I kid you not.
at 21 I adopted my first child,a boy. At 23 I started fostering children, at 25 I adopted my 2nd child a daughter, at 26 I was running a family home with my husband 32 I went back to University and studied for my Social work degree which I past 2 years later. At 34 we left the family home and went to live in our own home again.
At 36 I left the marriage, it was one of the hardest decisions I ever made.
At 37 i meet the father of my 3rd child. At 38, almost 39 I gave birth to my youngest child.
At 50 I meet my now husband and at 52 married him, I now have another 3 children whom I love dearly.
now at 60 I am really happy, I love the life I have and noway would I ever change anything. Everything in my past has made me ME............. and I love who I am and my life.
What would I tell my children............. follow your heart, you will meet people who come into your life to teach you lessons and others who come as blessings, dream big and always do your best to do everything from love and you won't go wrong.
16 was a great age 60 is a great age everything in between was marvelous, I have been so blessed with a wonderful life. Amen.

Good stuff ~ if only we could see through the hard times that the outcome is going to be such a great blessing, sometimes that is hard to perceive.
