Successful Movie Date!

Friday, January 25, 2013

My fiancÚ and I love having a daytime movie date. It is so convenient for us to go because we only go when our daughter is in school. We get some alone time together and don't have to worry about who we can get to watch our daughter.

I love going to the movies. It is my chance to get that large popcorn with extra butter and salt and a large Coke Zero. If we have the extra money we even get chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks, but usually just stick to the popcorn and soda. Today was my first time going to the movies while embarking on my healthy lifestyle.

I feel that I did good. We got a bottle of water and a small popcorn. We shared it but the best part about it... I didn't eat the whole small bag. I was able to limit myself to just half and I brought the rest home for our daughter.

I know the ultimate goal would have been to not eat any popcorn at all but considering I normally would eat a large bag mostly by myself, I consider this a huge achievement. We are planning on going again next week and I will bring my own air popped popcorn from home. At least I will be able to save $10. Can you believe a small popcorn and bottle of water cost $10?! That is crazy!

In case anyone is wondering we saw Parker with Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham. It was good but also very violent.

Keep on sparking!
