BLC21 Challenge, Letter to my 16 year old self

Friday, January 25, 2013

Be happy! Things are not as bad as you think they are. Stop with the diets and do what you know is right. All the gimiks will get you no where. Stop listening to what others say and live life the way you want! You will not grow out of your love for body art, crazy hair and funky clothes... rock it for as long as you can. Start swimming again! You are an excellent swimmer and it is not to late to go back. Learn to love yourself before falling for any guy, no matter how hard you try no one can really love you until you love yourself.

How true that we need to learn to love ourselves before we could realistically expect someone else to love us. Great job! emoticon

Swimming is a wonderful, low impact, way to get moving! Excellent advice to your younger self.

Swimming is great exercise and a great stress reliever! It can also be a good family activity :-) I'd love to see you start that up again during the course of the challenge.

It's true that we're easier to love when we love ourselves! Wise words!
