So, there I was, goofing around on Facebook, watching an episode of “The Closer” that I hadn’t seen.
“Thump Bump”, huh? What was that noise? Did one of my parents drop something or, heaven forbid, did my Dad fall again? A quick look around and the ‘rents are sleeping. Eh *shrug* must have been the neighbors banging against the wall. Back to the computer and TV.
The Big Guy gets home, and I realize it is after 1am. I haven’t stayed up that late in a while. I bid him a good night, and trudge upstairs. Now, my bedroom has a ceiling fan with a light fixture connected to the light switch. I usually leave the fan running and use the pull chain to turn off the light. So I turn around and reach up to shut the light off, and my closet catches my eye. EVERYTHING IS ON THE FLOOR!
*SIGH* I guess it wasn’t the neighbors. I have a pretty decent sized closet, 8 feet wide by about 3 feet deep. The shelf across the top was one long board. Unfortunately, when it was installed, it wasn’t done properly. I knew I would have to do something about it, but it was always a vague future project. Well, fate has intervened. What really aggravates me is it happened late Wednesday night. I was able to go and get the lumber and other supplies I will need Thursday evening after mom got home, but I won’t be able to do the repairs until Monday, because I am working until then. The Big Guy offered to fix it after he gets home from work tonight, but I need to be in bed by then. So he said he would try Saturday morning before he leaves, but since he usually sleeps until he has to get up, I told him don’t worry about it. So all the clothes from my closet are stacked in piles against the wall, and I will probably have to wash some of them, because there just isn’t enough room to completely avoid stepping on them. On the upside, I think I will go through my clothes and cull out some things. I have t-shirts that I haven’t worn in forever, something like half a dozen pairs of white jeans that don’t even fit from my days as an Aide, a mu’u mu’u and a dress, you get the idea.
I did have a small weight loss this week. I have pumped up the Cardio, Leslie Sansone is making sweat with her 2 and 3 mile walks, and I have started riding for at least 40 minutes, one day a week. I am still meeting my goals on water, tracking food, and a minimum of 10 minutes of exercise every day. I have to think about what I am going to work on next month.
