Day 420- A Test of Willpower

Friday, January 25, 2013

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow my boyfriend has his first "cheat" day after four weeks of a modified paleo diet. It will most likely consist of doughnuts, pancakes, pizza, pie...basically every carb and processed sugar he's wanted in the past month, in one day.

I plan on staying on track. I don't feel like I need cheat days because I usually am eating what I want but, at the same time, I don't have any of the above items in the house so it is easier.

I refuse to criticize or ask him to change his ways, because if there's one thing SparkPeople has taught me, it's that everyone loses weight differently. He lifts weights everyday and does cardio often, and he's eating high protein and almost no carbs. It's how he's choosing to get healthier and he says he'll reintroduce carbs when he loses a few more pounds.

I'm just praying my willpower gets me through tomorrow. I can do this. Water, fruit, and only a little treat here and there. And a nice run.

I hope that he plans to eat ALL of his junk food, so that it is not around to tempt you...That would be like me getting a job in a bakery... Take care...Love you madly...

Seems like you have a plan! If you stick to it, there won't be any problems.
And if you REALLY want to cheat, do it with moderation ;)

You can do it - remember to treat yourself with a small piece of dark chocolate. Your right you can't control your boyfriend's eating - I can't agree with a cheat day of all the stuff you have been avoiding but everybody has to do things their way and if it works for him then that is great
