So I took half a melatonin last night to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. And now I'm feeling all sluggish and have no energy. It's not that I'm tired or sleepy, I just feel all pooped out. I really feel like I should take a nap because of the lack of energy I have. I haven't taken any melatonin in well over a year and now I remember why I don't. I really wish there was an easier way for me to fall asleep at a normal time at night, but since the melatonin isn't a good option I'm gonna have to try to find a better way to be able to get myself to fall asleep before the sun comes up.

    Melatonin put me to sleep but I could not function the next day--or two! I take magnesium at night. I think it helps me sleep. For pain, magnesium helps, too. My daughter gave me some lotion with magnesium in it. It goes through the skin!

    Good idea Pam. I take a small dose which has B6 with it. I don't get numbness and tingling in the middle of the night then. I eat one cracker which has wheatgerm and a small glass of milk, about 100ml about an hour before bed.

    Try a small dose of magnesium It helps you sleep well without the after feel that melatonin does. I just read an article on how you are feeling due to it and they suggest you start with a half a pill to start the first few nights If you are going to try it.
