One of my clients is also a friend of mine. He came by today with some instrument issues and we got to talking about our resolutions and how he had started doing circuit training with a personal trainer, mostly because the trainer was really cute and there was a good coupon, but also because he was trying to build some muscle strength. My friend is very skinny due to good genes and a vegan diet, but he's worried about losing muscle strength, so he was adding strength training and pilates to the rest of his fitness regimen. He then started telling me about how funny his pilates teacher was and that he was doing a semi-private session, but the other student was this buff soccer mom who was way more advanced and kept getting frustrated, so she moved to another time spot.

In one of those "what just came out of my mouth" moments, I piped up and said "hey, that sounds like fun," and before I knew it, I had an invite to go to pilates class. Fortunately for me, my friend is very new to pilates, so at least we'd be on the same level. I'm not sure this will pan out, because my friend is an unusual individual, in that he has very strict rules about how he spends his time and I know that he really does prefer to have privacy when he works out (which amazes me that he was doing a semi-private session to begin with). If I do end up going, this will be the most hilarious fitness class I've ever been to, because all we ever do is laugh when we get together. Laughing burns calories, right?

    i use to do that. but i must not have done it right. i did not get much out of it. yes i had classes. but i tend to get bored with exercises. hope you enjoy your time.
