Every once in awhile, I decide to stand in front of the mirror, completely naked, and look at my body to see if I notice it changing. Sometimes all I see is the fat I still want to lose and the reduction (real or imagined, not sure) in breast size.
But sometimes I choose to notice the awkward bumps above my hips are shrinking. Or my waist is slowly appearing. Or that my skin has been looking fantastic. These days usually go much better than the days I notice the negative. These days are often paired with healthier eaten and often come after a really great workout. And there's nothing negative about feeling like there's hope of me looking good in a wedding dress!
As I move through my SparkPeople journey, I've been making an effort to increase these moments of positive thinking regarding my body (next stop, where I am in life right now). And I must say, I am much happier for it!
