Still packing. I've got about 2 drawers left and then a few plants. I'll come in on Sunday to pick them up. The stories floating around the clinic are ridiculous. the initial inspectors ( managers from the mother ship) even went into the physical therapy department and told them they had too much equipment to use on the patients. don't set up an outpatient clinic and then tell the PT that they can't have supplies to treat the patients with....this is getting just 'too'. The home based clinicians at the other end of the building have been told that if the item in the room does not pertain to the patient (lamps, desk supplies, chairs, pictures)care...get rid of it. I don't know what this knee jerk demand is all about..but I'm not taking any chances. I want my paycheck to keep coming in. Just tired...after 35+ years of nursing...of seeing wanna-bes treat their staff so poorly. I left management for this very reason....I was asked what I should do if I saw a staff member drop a towel in the floor and leave the area to take the patient to their room. I said that I would pick the towel up and help the person clean up the area. The boss informed me that I should write the person up and I just didn't agree. I've seen too many upper management people walk around as though they were too good to get their hands dirty. My best bosses led by example, not demands. Oh wicked people. So ...here we wait to see what the real survey will be like. It could NOT be worse than the mocks we're going through right now. Just gotta keep Sparkin'!!!
