The Prodigal Returns!

Friday, January 25, 2013

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well on their journeys to a healthier, happier life.

So, A LOT has changed since I last posted on here. God blessed me a wonderful new job. I had to go to San Antonio, TX for training with my hubby and his caretaker. I'm working from home, continuing as a telephone triage nurse. I absolutely LOVE it, but its been difficult getting back into the swing of things. Got home on Dec. 15, and I still don't feel like I have a routine yet, but that will come.

I started reading Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Challenge and am feeling very hopeful. I'm addressing some painful emotions that I've stuffed with food for FAR too long. I'm looking forward to transforming my thinking.

Thank you all for your support as always!

Welcome back, sis! What you're doing is very difficult. It takes courage to really examine your eating habits and explore the emotions that cause you to binge. It's easy to ignore it and make excuses. I'm trying my best not to make excuses for my bad eating habits, but instead to dust myself off when I falter and keep going. If you make a few bad choices in one day, it's very tempting just to write it off as a bad day and tell yourself you'll start again. I've done that more times than I would like to admit.

I encourage you to try Spark Coach. It has REALLY helped me get motivated. You get a 7 day free trial (you don't have to enter any credit card info until you want to upgrade), After that, it's $8.99/month. If I had the money, I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's definitely worth it!

I'm very proud of you and am here for you! I love you bunches!
