What a Week!!

Wow what a week I have had. My husband has been out of town and almost all of our thirteen ewes decided they would lamb. In a 24 hour period we had 15 lambs born. Three of our first four lambs were killed by coyotes last week, so I have had to bring them all in at night for protection. I would get everybody in and one ewe wouldn't get the memo. I had to leave the 99 so to speak, and get the one. The trick is keeping the ones in the corral where they are or try to coax the other to wait for me to open the gate again. So I am running around getting all hot sweaty and dusty befor heading out to work. Not the way I intended to get my cardio in or the time!
I also had an interview for an open position where I work. It would just be a few extra hours a week, but the pay would be almost as much as I make working full time at my present job. Any idea how little I get paid? I love what I do so it is entirely worth it anyway I look at it. I love my job! I should know by esarly next week. We transitioned to a new company a few months ago and they had a 401K meeting at 9:30 in the morning on top of everything else yesterday!
It has been a rough week with the clients too. One of our babies got RSV and could hardly breathe the other day. He was taken to the ER and last night he was airlifted to Lubbock. My heart is breaking for the 19 year old mother. Then we have one client who enjoys wreaking havoc in the house and had one mom in tears and another ready to beat her up. Ready for a day off? You bet I am!
I have done well on my exercise and my eating. I am really trying to do better, still, at tracking my food and behaving in that respect. My weight has yo yo'ed around the same ten pound weight range for way too long. I behave then I forget to :) I am really trying to make it a point to eat my five fruits and veggies a day this year to see if I can curb some minor health issues. I don't want them to become major ones and this is the route I know I must take. I am improving. I also got my minimum goal in on exercise. I try to keep it realistic for my lifestyle yet challenging just the same. That was my goal from last year and I stuck to it most weeks.
So now I am thinking of going to bed before 1 am and enjoying long distance tea with my daughter. We have matching tea cups and will make tea together. She is in Florida and I am in New Mexico. Then we will sit and chat while we sip our tea at the same time. Isn't that a great idea? So I am off to get some things done and wait for my hubby to come home!
