1. Does Anyone Really Like Running: As I try to push myself to keep running, all I can think of is "I hate running". But, I want to be a runner so bad. I love the way it shapes the body. I love the new locations it can take you. I love how powerful you can feel after a run.. but the whole start to finish is a constant struggle. I can't seem to get my brain into the zone. Is there a magic time when you suddenly LOVE it? :)
2. During a race, does anyone else feel primal? At the start of the race when the pack starts running, I feel like an ox in a heard of gazelles. Everyone is running together..and I feel out of place. I know everyone is concentrating on themselves.. but at the same time, a feeling of awkwardness spreads . Maybe this will come with more experience. I must say runners are the most supportive, kindest, encouraging group of people to new runners. Supportive, strong, and absolutely inspiring.
