HCG Not for me!!!!

So you ladies know I've been struggling for a while getting back on it. I think I found my groove back but I have a story to share with you all. My aunt wanted me to go on this HCG diet with her. It consists of 500 calories a day and injections to the stomach. Do you know that I considered it???? Thank God I finally came to my senses!!!!!

Ladies, I want to be an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, not a quick fix. I want for people to be able to say that if Sasha did it the right way, then they can too!

I got really sick this last weekend. For three days I was down and out with the fever, vomitting, and diarrhea. This stomach virus had many people around here sick. During those couple of days I really thought about my health. I started to remember why I wanted it in the first place. For those who don't know I will give you a little background into my journey thus far. I'm 20 years old, and I was at my heaviest weight of 245 in May of last year when I went for my check up at the doctor. She told me everything was perfect, but I needed to drop some pounds by the next time I come to see her. On August 7th I started my changes, my weight that day was 241 pounds. I started hitting the healthy lifestyle change really hard, exercising everyday, eating right and by November 1st I was 218. I was doing really well until I went through a bit of an emotional upheaval with this guy I was dating. It really sent me for a curve ball and not to mention some family issues that really had me depressed. The holidays came and I got back up to 227. Well, on Wednesday morning, January 23, I weighed in at 230. And I decided that I was putting a stop to it right there! Well today is the 3rd day since Im hitting it hard again and I'm already down to 226.8...... So who needs HCG, when your eating clean, drinking water, and working out???

    I agree wholeheartedly! Quick fixes are just that...quick fixes...if you don't do the stuff required to get the job done it won't stick. Might as well do it the right way so the results will be long lasting. I am like Baby_Girl69 and fast several times a year...but that is the extent of hard core weight loss plan...in fact, for me fasting isn't really about the weight loss, it's about the disciplin that fasting gives me. When you take food out of the equation for a short time, it seems to give me my focus back and makes me realize #1, I'm NOT starving and can wait to get home to fix something appropriate versus eating out. and #2 It reminds me that food is fuel..although I always choose the yummy fuel.

    Good for you for pushing forward and doing what it takes to lose the weight...and what it takes is HARD WORK!! :)

    I am doing a fast right now & I am thanking God for this challenge cause food is often our main focus. How much do eat, when do we eat, where are we going to eat & so on & so forth. When does it all end? Well this is definitely tough for me cause I deal with the food at work most days & then go home to make plates for my hubs & youngest son. I am like you, I don't want a quick fix, I want a lifestyle change & as long as I have been on Sparkpeople they changes are slow & steady but my God race is given to the ones who endure..... Be encouraged!
