My plan for the next few days

This is just a general outline of my goal for meals and workouts for the next couple of days. I figure on Tuesday I will reassess what the food in the house looks like and come up with another few days worth of meals. I have not really planned meals in the past year because I find it to be time consuming. I have to say its one of my least favorite things to do but it also helps me a lot so I need to reintroduce it.

I am also planning my workouts for the next few days. I am going to try to be specific in not only what I am going to do but also when I am going to do it on that day. That way maybe I can avoid getting all the way to bedtime and saying "oh crap, I never worked out"... I am keeping my workouts light because I have yet to go to my post pregnancy doctors appt. Even though I feel pretty good I want to get the green light from my doctor at my appt. on Tuesday before I bump up the intensity.

Friday Jan 25th

Breakfast - 1 cup Quinoa with 1 fried egg topped with 1 tbls basil
Lunch - 2 cups tom yum soup with shrimp
1 cup plain greek yogurt w 1 cup fresh pineapple
snack - 2oz turkey breast lunch meat, 1 cheese stick, veggies & 2 tbls dressing
Dinner - eggplant casserole
(eggplant, cheese, tomato sauce, spinach, chicken sausage)
steamed broccoli
Snack - 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
workout: 30 min light elliptical after dinner

Saturday

Breakfast: 1 cup oatmeal w splenda
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
sliced almonds
1 cup skim milk
Lunch:grilled tuna
vegetable stirfry
Snack: 1 cup pineapple
1/2 cup cottage cheese
Dinner: spaghetti squash w chunkey sausage pasta sauce
salad w lite dressing & bacon bits
snack: 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
gluten free cookie

workout: 30 min light elliptical before breakfast

Sunday

Breakfast: egg white & turkey bacon sandwich
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on gluten free bread w cranberry mustard
1 serving tapioca pudding
1 pear
Snack: chocolate pudding
1 tbls coconut
1 tbls pistachios
Dinner: Gortons fish fillet
brown rice
steamed vegetable
Snack: turkey deli meat wrapped in lettuce leaves w sprouts
cheese stick
workout: 30 min light elliptical

Monday

Breakfast: oatmeal w peaches
lunch: veggie stirfry w brown rice
snack: greek yogurt w flax seed & honey
dinner: crispy chicken tacos, steamed vegetable, salad
snack: gluten free cookie & 1 serving vanilla ice cream

workout: 1 hour walking outside after lunch

Tuesday

breakfast: egg white & turkey bacon sandwich
lunch: large chef salad
snack: string cheese, fruit
dinner: bbq chicken breast, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetable
snack: peanut butter apple

workout: 1 hour walking outside after lunch

    This sounds pretty similar to my plans! I am gluten free, and I have an elliptical too!

    Planning has never been my strong suit in this myself. but I love what you have done and I like the planned two snacks daily. You just may have something there and I may just need to follow suit.

    It's a time investment, but you'll definitely recoup the investment in multiple ways. When I do a chore the night before or the day before I consider it as a "gift" to my Future Self.

    Future Self usually sighs and says "Thanks" to responsible old Past Self!

    My downfall..always has been...is working out. I can't get motivated! Soon though, I know it will hit me!

    I just decided today to give up on tracking my food just yet. I have a big appetite with nursing, and everything going into my mouth is healthy, so it's all good for right now. I don't need to stress about that - heck, Carly isn't even a week old yet anyway!

    I look forward to goal setting with you real soon! Keep up the great work!
