Need to get more sleep

Today's Spark Coach was an excellent video about the importance of getting enough sleep. I have no troubles falling asleep when i get to bed. It's the getting to bed that's the problem because I stay up late reading, doing things on the computer, working on quilts or other sewing projects that I should have been working on earlier. Basically it's time management for me so if I waste time by watching tv and general procrastination I get behind.

My goal for the coming week is to get working on customer quilts in a diligent manner until I get caught up. After that I can work on a better schedule so I can still have fun doing other things just not at the detriment of doing work that lets me get paid. It sure can be hard to work at home when you don't have discipline.

Now I'd better get off the computer, get showered&dressed, have breakfast and get working!

    For quite a while I've been staying up too late so getting 4-6 hours of sleep has been the norm. Setting the alarm for getting to bed is a good idea. I'll start of slowly and set it for 11 pm. I like the alert function on my iPod Touch so will have the alert go off 1 hour and 30 min before. =) My wake up time is generally 8 am so hopefully that will work.

    Good for you! I struggle with getting to bed at a decent time, too. Last night I watched a TV show until 10pm, kind of returning to old habits. The night before that, I read until I don't know what time. I had decided that I was going to start going to bed relatively early (going upstairs at 9pm to wash my face and brush my teeth) and then settle in bed for 9:30, so that I can get up at 5:45am to do cardio videos.

I find that it helps to set an alarm on my phone. When the alarm goes off, it's time to go to bed.
