Aunt Betty passed on Tuesday. I was so glad to be able to keep her at home where she wanted to be. I am so grateful to Hospice, they were just amazing, and to my family who helped so much in her care, and in allowing me to take care of myself as well.

I have most of the arrangements made, and so should be able to begin to relax.

I am so grateful that her final journey was not long. God was kind and took her quickly.

Now I am just pretty much exhausted and burned out, so am going to concentrate on getting myself unstressed, and more in tune with everyday life.

It was less than two weeks from her diagnosis to her death. Seemed a lot longer emotionally and physically, but grateful that it wasn't.

She will be missed.

Thank you all so much. I had a tough day yesterday, had not had enough sleep, and that always is an issue.

Slept well last night. My friends Laura and Derek took me to breakfast this morning, and I visited other friends after I left them.

Ushered at the theater tonight, and saw a good show with several friends in it. Sat with several other friends and had a good night.

One day at a time.

Bonnie, It is wonderful that you were able to keep her at home with you and your family these last two weeks. Your Aunt Betty was able to keep her dignity and be with her family at the most critical time. I am thinking of you and your family. My sincere sympathies.

Bonnie -- I am very sorry for your loss, but so glad that hospice was able to help you and your Aunt Betty on the journey. I'm sure your aunt was grateful that you were able to be there for her.

I send prayers for her on her journey.

I hope you're able to recover your balance soon!
Kathleen
