I recently received my last maintenance lesson from the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Diabetes Not Me Study. The final lesson has an excellent set of tips and questions. I haven't answered them all yet. I do know that I am in a good place. I also know that I am someone who benefits from structured, personal support.
A couple of days ago I decided to use one of the gift cards I got for participating in the DPP study to sign up for 3 months of Spark Coaching. So far, so good (but no one can match Coach Pierre!!).
Today's community task is to post my eating plan for tomorrow. This a challenge, since I will be at a professional conference.
1) Breakfast -I can have the usual. Oatmeal and fruit. Skim milk in my coffee.
2) Lunch - I will go to the coop and buy a vegan "egg salad" sandwich. Also, will bring some clementines (have in fridge already)
3) Snacks - Clementine. Also will buy a few energy bars at coop (low fat and sugar) so I am not food deprived during the day.
4) Dinner - If people go out to eat together, I will make good choices (count calories using Spark app on my IPhone). If we go our separate ways, I will stop at Whole Foods and follow same plan.
