I decided that I had fooled around long enough. I had been playing around here at Sparkpeople and toying with the idea of WW's. Which do I do? All my foods are here. If I have to look at a nutrition label then I might as well do SP. Points just took too much time...look at a label then plug in numbers. Then trying to figure out recipes...ugh. Beside, last year I went back to WW's but couldn't pull myself away from SP tracking trying to decide which I liked better. That ended up with me not really doing either and basically gave up even tho I still tracked here and there with SP. Then I have a friend that said she was going back to WW's when our kids went back to school after Christmas. I was all for it. Wouldn't you know that the week we were to start I pulled a muscle in my back. That only confirmed I needed to do something. So the following week I went. That same day I went to Costco and they had a food scale and weigh scale. Both of mine had broke and so I got both! Last week was my first week. The only thing I concentrated on was my choice of foods and portion sizes. Start slowly and keep incorporating. Before my back went out, I had gone grocery shopping and decided I wouldn't buy those little York Peppermint Pattys. I use to buy them EVERY week. I would have 1 or 2 (o.k. so maybe 3 or 4 on some days) throughout the day and then 1 or 2 at night. I called them my night cap
The fact that they had went up so much in price helped too....LOL I had such cravings for those little things for a whole week! Thank goodness I'm over that now. Ok so back to that first week. I tracked EVERYTHING. Were all my points completely accurate? Probably not. Especially when it came to recipes and eating out. But I honestly done my best. I knew I had lost but I don't trust home scales. Mine said 4 lbs down. When I weighed in I was 5.7 down! So now to keep going forward and incorporate more. Treadmill here I come!
