January 25, 2013 QUICK TO JUDGE
We are always so quick to judge. We ask why did this have to happen. We ask who do they think are. We ask what did they mean by that. Sometimes it is not our place to know why things happened. Many times it is just meant for us to show God’s love, to help and support one another. God gives us guidelines to live by in His word. We all need to focus on what He wants us to do rather than trying to figure things out.
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we pray You will remind us to have faith in You and allow Your Holy Spirit to work through us so we may live as Jesus did. We open our hearts, our minds and our souls to You so You can fill us with all the things that are good. We give ourselves to You today, Lord, so you can help us do what You know we are capable of doing as Your child. Help us to be encouraging to others no matter who they are and no matter the situation. We can’t do what is right without You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
