Breakfast was horrible. I mean, I'm an oatmeal girl through-and-through but I have done a smoothie in the past. This... Well this was just a bad recipe.
Avocado? Yeah, okay. I'm granola enough for that.
Brown rice protein powder? You bet your chickens I got that protein powder AND on sale AND with coupons!
Unsweetened coconut milk? Yep, sounds delicious right? Even the company is called that. Truth? Blech.
Stevia? Okay, that's just gross y'all. The only way to cool with stevia is to mask it entirely.
What? Where's the tasty part of that whole thing? The avocado? No, for real. Why should this taste good?
That's okay because I will add cocoa and frozen cherries next time. BOOYAH!
I cheated with glee for lunch, but it's day two so NBD. I'm getting in habits this first week. Porkchop (no pork, although they keep calling it bacon as if it is a bacon-animal) with kale (yes), lima beans (yes) and soy sauce (no!) Did I mention it was breaded with corn flakes? Corn is also a no-no. Whatever. I've been off coffee three days straight (I drink a cuppa espresso every gol-danged morning) and I am doing pretty great.
Okay, real talk? I ate three Sausalito cookies. Them cookies be one-per-serving, yo.
I told myself I was doing future Aubrey a favor. Also it was a gift from my sympathetic husband.
He got real mad when I said I couldn't eat bread (he was making a loaf of oat-molasses at the time). We wanna change our last name to Mangiapane (bread-eater) so no wonder he's pissy, but imagine how I, Miss Mangiapane the First, feel!
Then I spent two [harsh expletive] hours cutting vegetables into tiny pieces for a cold lentil salad. When I was done (it's going to taste AMAZING, I can feel it) I realized next time I'll use the food processor.
