This has been an on the move day.....

This morning was TOPS where my weigh in was the same as 2 weeks ago...I didn't get there last week because my truck wouldn't start.

After TOPS, I put in my monthly time as a volunteer at the hospital plus signed up for 2 more days in the gift shop there

After getting done at the hospital, I attended a mental health class with my daughter. 2 of her children have mental health issues so we are taking this class to learn how to better help them. Since I had worked 16 years as a psychiatric nurse with mentally ill inmates, the instructor said I should sign up for the teaching course and become a volunteer teacher. Something to think about. We sure do need so much more mental health education.

I left home around 8 this morning and got back close to 9 tonight. My dog thought I had abandoned him.....lol

On the good note......I won the 50-50 drawing at TOPS this morning.

    The 50/50 drawing is our fund raiser for our TOPS treasury. We have a board that has 99 small squares on it which has a penny taped on each square. Under each penny is a money amount (the highest is 99 cents). We pull off a penny and pay the amount that is under the penny--from 1 cent to 99 cents. After all the pennies are "sold" we then have collected $50. All the numbers are on a small piece of paper, placed in a container, and then someone draws a number. Whoever bought that number wins $25 and $25 goes into our treasury. Yesterday I won...the money will either go to my daughter or grand daughter as both are struggling big time right now.

    What's a 50/50 drawing at TOPS? Good deal for not gaining! There have been lots of times I would have been happy to not gain! The friend that I consider my weight loss mentor went and still goes to TOPS; she is such an inspiration and encouragement to me. I just wish I had listened to her and watched what she did years ago; I would have been far healthier at that point in my life.


I am glad that DD has classes to go to and also your experience to help. I chose to go to counseling at Burrell when my DD was diagnosed with something beyond depression. I feel we probably now have the correct diagnosis, but if we don't I now understand better why that might not be. In her case, it is very important that I do not enable her, and that is hard for me, because my personality is always to help someone, but in order to help her, I have to stand off.
