Being a slow loser makes me CRANKY!!!

Thursday, January 24, 2013

I am doing everything right. Meticulously logging everything I eat. Cut way back on alcohol consumption. Got a Fitbit a week and a half ago and went from couch potato to racking up fitness minutes like a fiend. I have lost NO weight. Bah.

I need to go have bloodwork done. I have my papers for that but just haven't done it. Could be my historically "almost low enough to medicate" thyroid levels have finally slipped enough to be really causing trouble. Could be the very low dose of Efexor I take might be putting me in the 1% of people who gain weight on that medication.

Meanwhile, I am not giving up. I might not be a THIN old lady but by golly I will be a healthy FAT old lady!

    Welcome to my world.
It's my body's way of thanking me for the many many years of yo-yo and fad dieting.
But- (and this is a big BUTT)
I will never go back to that old tired deprived hungry way of living.

Losing slow sucks, this is true. Maybe part of it is also what you're eating as much as it is how much?
Just keep working on it, and you'll eventually hit on the right combo!
