I have to admit that I don't always think to do physical activity when I find myself with short amounts of down time. I spend a lot of time waiting for public transportation, especially when I have to catch more than one bus to get to my destination. Sometimes I can go from one bus to the next without a wait, but most of the time, I have 5-15 minutes between them. Today, my waits were all outside and it was COLD so I elected to move around. I was walking in place when it dawned on me that I could actually count the time as time exercised if I put a little more effort into it. I started to do squats and forward lunges. Then, I moved on to vigorous walking and marching in place. Needless to say, I kept warm and got in about 20 minutes of exercise instead of just wasting the time.
