"Oh yes," she says, "totally normal. That's to be expected! It's a sign of the detoxification process." I had called the Garden of Life company regarding my symptoms explaining that, "i have headaches, diarrhea, bloating, gas, rashes."
I was detoxing and showing it.
However, the cleanse ended yesterday, and I've been headache free until...
This afternoon I prepared a homemade seafood salad with romaine, radishes, celery, mild peppers, carrots, wheat-free imitation lobster meat (only 2 WW points for 1/2 cup!)...and to top it off I used 2 T of Wish-bone ranch salad dressing.
Wouldn't you know, shortly after eating that I had a booming headache! What gives?!?
Upon investigating the nutrition label the obvious culprit stared me in the eye: MSG!
In MY salad dressing!
I'm the usual annoying grocery store shopper checking out all the labels and meticulously reading all ingredients with magnifying precision.
How did this one escape my gaze?
Goes to show how sneaky companies can be. The forward-facing label touts this benefit of absorbing more vitamins, and it's great for dipping, delicious flavor, and the bottle even uses 20% less plastic!
How 'bout putting "contains MSG" on the front panel?
Goodbye headache...I'll never be purchasing Wish-bone Ranch again unless they change their recipe.
