Day Two- It's my cardio day!!!
I'm ready to shimmy and swing these hips into shape!
Dancercize (purchased at Target)
Contains 4 workouts:
Hip Hop for Beginners
Belly Dance for Beginners
Salsa Cardio Workout
Jazz Dance Workout
Goal was 30 minutes.
What I choose to do: Cardio Salsa Workout 25 min long + Hip Hip for 5 minutes
This was an impulse purchase at Target, occasionally I get a bug up my butt to buy a new DVD workout. Sometimes I think if i can just find that one workout I love to do and then i end up with another DVD that I barely do!
Salsa Cardio part- This was a pretty fun workout, it got my heart rate up and I did get a little sweaty. I've done other salsa workouts that were better and more of a challenge for sure. I've also done other dance DVD's that actually felt like were teaching me real dance moves. This was more like low to mid impact aerobics with a dance flair. I didn't think it was anything really special but I'll do it again sometime. It wasn't the worst or the best for sure.
Hip Hop for Beginners- We did five minutes of this to meet my goal and it was seriously one of the worst Hip Hop workouts. It was like Hip Hop from the 90's being taught by the unhippest guy ever, hehe! It was pretty silly and I don't think I'll give this one another try, I have a couple other Hip Hop workouts that are way more fun and challenging.
My husband did both with me, he didn't really like the Salsa workout. It was way to much hip action for him :) And he pretty much laughed during the Hip Hop one.
Next up... Pilates for Weightloss Conditioning.
