I challenged my fitness level ..

I just had to write because I am so pleased to see such a difference in my fitness levels since I started working out at the gym .. I started the treadmill about 2.2 mph .. for 10 minutes.. then I upped it to 15 minutes and since last weekend I am doing 30 minutes ..
In the beginning .. I was sweating up a storm .. then I stopped and the 2.2 mph became a walk in the park .. yesterday I walked for 45 minutes .. and today . instead of walking longer .. I upped my speed to 10 minutes at 3mph and 20 minutes at 2.5 mph ... I just realized how quickly my body has become acclimated to the exercise .. it seems I need to go harder and harder to get a sweat going and without a sweat .. well it doesn't feel like I am really working out ..
I have also tried the elliptical and the bicycle although right now .. 5 minutes on those is enough for me, however .. at this rate .. I know I can build it up more .. I realize too how important it is to always push yourself further because it doesn't take long before your body gets used to the level of exercise you do ...
I never exercised .. hated it ... however .. now my 16 year old daughter has joined me and pouts if we miss a day .. I also made her pay for her gym membership (it was only 100.00 for the year) so she would appreciate the membership and want to get her money's worth .. it seems to have worked because she wants to go every day .. I am proud of her too! And it's great to see that look of accomplishment on her face .. as she tells me how she surpassed her current fitness levels ... its very motivating for me
I can't believe how committed I am to exercising and I think the fitness tracker really keeps me motivated.. it's like a game ... I always want to win over it ... and it feels great to know that I out did the minutes expected and the calories burned ...
After going to the gym I hurry home to enter my fitness activities into the tracker just to see how far I have come for the week ... I am very grateful for this web site .. it is very fun and motivating!
