Seems like I need to rest the running challenge for a few days. (make that only two)
1) Because I just realized I worked out 7 days in a row.
2) Because the right side of my knee is having issues.
So.. I was on a roll for quite a few days even managing to restart the C25K on Tuesday with a few seconds added to each run interval.
Well..when I woke up yesterday morning, I felt a little tweak on the right side of my knee, but thought to myself that maybe I was just a little stiff. As the day went along, the pain didn't leave. Now, it's not so painful where I can't climb stairs or go about my normal day, but it bothered me that I knew it wouldn't be wise to attempt to run today. (Being that I was so excited about my stamina build up) I managed to hit the treadmill yesterday, but it was walking day with a little incline play.
When I got home, it occurred to me that I never stretch. Duh! That's why I'm feeling stiff and all that. I just hop my happy self on the treadmill or start walking/running on the trail like it ain't nothing. Needless to say, stretching is now part of my routine. (sigh..I really need to get it together)
So.. I guess I will chill with the cardio for two days and do a little strength training instead. Trying to get those Michelle Obama arms before the summer too.
