Celebrating Snow looking East and West

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Dec 24: 11months to Christmas Eve! 167 days to Christmas in July...just in case you were counting..haha..

I did a fun thing today when we came back from town...there is a small open place between the main highway and the county road. So the first picture is looking west and the second is looking east...silly but fun for one who loves her fresh inch and a half of fresh snow that cleaned everything up overnight.
God bless you all and smile at the silly old lady who loves her snow.

Snow! It is best to look at and not drive in it!

I am a Snow Lover too! I grew up in Illinois and we had snow, but more ice than snow! I lived just across the River from St. Louis, and we had horrible ice storms in the winter nearly every year! I moved to Colorado however about 40 years ago, and then left here for about 10 years when I met and married my husband who was in the Air Force. After traveling all over the world with the Air Force, though, it was Colorado and the Mountains we returned too. I love having 4 seasons, and I Love Snow! I especially love it now that I have retired and do not have to get out on the roads when it snows. I just watch it quietly coming down and covering the ground and making everything so white, and quiet.

Snow can be very beautiful. I must admit I miss it from time to time. Have been living in Atlanta for the past 30 years and we get a few storms from time to time. Not like my days growing up in upstate NY.
