I hope everyone had a good time at Susan's party yesterday! Susan, I just can't understand why no one will acknowledge how great you are looking, they really must be some putzes!! Just know that we here know how hard you worked and how great you're looking (and nothing like your picture, lol!!).

I needed yesterday to get my mind off of the stresses from my phone call from home. Now for the updates. My daughter's poor little kitty has liver cancer and it is only a matter of weeks. Right now she is in no pain so she is at home. If things get worse, she will be put down but perhaps she will just go peacefully in her sleep and that decision won't have to be made. She was such a great companion that she will be sorely missed but like with all pets, you can't share in the good parts without having the bad parts too.

My furnace has had numerous parts replaced over the last few days including the motor. It worked and then when it got hot, it would stop again but thankfully it seems to be really fixed this time. We bought an alert that will call on the cell phone if the temp goes below 45 degrees and had it installed. It was a good thing too as it has gone off 18 times since being installed. With the temp so low at home without the alert, I'm sure there would have been lots more damage. So far it seems like the pipes are ok. They have been checked and rechecked and look good.

All of a sudden the fridge is working again. Right now it has no food in it as all of it was discarded. They put a cup of water in the freezer and it did freeze. I think the whole thing had to do with the power being out. Now it is up to us to buy a new one or not but when I go home I'll have 6 months to decide if it is working ok. I do know that I will not be buying a lot of food to store like before. I couldn't resist a bargain but a bargain is not one if you end up losing it.

I'm still sick and it seems to be lingering. It's been 6 days now and still going strong. My head is so foggy and the coughing is terrible but it's not the flu so that is a good thing. It's tougher to get better as you get older, it just takes longer. Imagine no exercise for a whole week, that hasn't happened since I started this 3 years ago!! It's going to be nice to start again but at the same time I feel myself getting weaker. At least I've was able to sleep last night.

So right now, most everything is well in my world. Someone up there is always watching over us and I am so Blessed, ;)

Noreen, I am so sorry you are so sick. I am glad you are at a stage in your life you can just take it easy for awhile until it gets better. Yeah I know that hang on to you until it gets it's last lick in kind of sickness. Heating pad, warm drinks, comfy jammies and all the cold remedies that help is my way of getting through them. Sending up a prayer for your recovery.

I am so glad things seem to be resolving themself with minimal effort back home. Nothing like all that happening to you at once to put you in a bad way. I am sure it is alot of stress off your mind now.

Once again thank you for the party and the kind words about my blog, worry not it is all good! Hugs. Susan
