UPDATE ON MY WOES AND BLESSINGS

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Thank all of you who prayed or wished me well on all of the things that have been happening.

Today two good friends came over and helped me clean out a corner and a closet. Some went to Salvation Army and some went to the trash. Then one friend took me to lunch and bought sun glasses as I saw they had them there and mine had broke. Goodness what lovely friends.

They are coming back tomorrow to help some more. I have so much clutter but some day with the help of others I plan to get rid of a lot of it and try to keep my house more stress free.

Today a check came from my insurance company for the carpet, etc. in the house and another came for the car repair. They used to pay it themselves and oversee but not anymore. Insurance goes up, service goes down. At least I got the money and it will be deposited as soon as I finish this as I don't want it to be stolen or lost in all the work.

The deductibles have been met by friends as well as the water heater and the air conditioner. God is so good. Later I am going to send you a poem I wrote in 1995 which I hope will be a blessing to all. You may use it, I just ask you not to copyright it.

I wish to thank all who were too far away to help but said they would if they could but they prayed. Prayer moves the hand of God.

Thank you for all of the goodies and your patience with me. It may be months before I can get back to posting like I used to but I know you understand. While I am in rehab from my surgery, as I said before, I will be silent. I plan to use that time to work on getting my knees in shape and doing what I am supposed to do in rehab.

I don't think I will make the surgery the 9th but we will see. They said if I need more time to let them know. My heart is good and my cardiologist gave me the go ahead.

I started to list the names of those who have helped so far but did not want to embarrass them or slight someone. You know who you are and I send a big hug to all of you.

I'm very glad you got some insurance money for the damages and that you have such caring friend nearby. I will continue to keep you in my prayers! Looks like you and my mom are getting the knee surgeries in the same month. I do wish I lived closer. I would love to help, but God is good to take care of us, so I will just do what I can....pray. emoticon

Irene... you are a trooper and I am so thankful for your friends who have come along side of you and have filled in the gaps. It is so much work to do what you are doing and when it comes unexpectedly like yours did... it is TOUGH.
Love you lady..... you're such an inspiration to me.
Hang in there.... God never gives us more than we can handle. But He does give us people who can handle it for us.
Praise God!
Char

Irene, it sounds like you're getting a lot done/fixed before you have your surgery. That is good. Many hospitals have what is called a "Joint Camp" before surgery. It is a couple of hours where they will explain a bit about what goes on in the hospital, and also what knee/leg exercises you can do even before the surgery. I would highly recommend "Joint Camp" if your hospital has it. Your surgeon will know.

Everything is falling into place Irene and prayers will, of course, be continued!
You've got good friends and I'm relieved to hear of all the help you've been getting.
Don't even think of sparks while recuperating from your knee surgery! We'll wait for you to recover and will be happy when you get back to us. I'm looking forward to reading your poem, will you be putting it on soon?

I hope you won't have to delay the surgery date now, be great to get it done and over with. Your knee is going to feel so much better and will thank you by giving you pain-free walking!

As I envisioned it, it is happening, for you. God is so good and always supplies our needs and sends us people in our path that help in our time of need.

Continuing to pray for you, Irene. emoticon

Chin up, head held high, for your surgery. You are wise to be putting your focus and energy on your recovery.

Looking forward to your poem! emoticon

You continue to be in my prayers!! Things have a way of going 'our way' -- even when we think they won't! If your surgery is on Feb 9 - great but if not, you'll go with whatever is safe and comfortable for you!! That's all you can do -- blessings!!

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!! So happy for you!!

As for your poem. Type copyright your name and the date (or close to) when you wrote it. That copyrights it to you! I had to learn that when a dear friend wrote a poem and we had it illustrated by one of my children and then put into a book form. ;-) It is true, your work is copyrighted to you the day you write it but others have to be told it is copyrighted and they can not copy (steal) it!

Hugs!!!

Irene, I am so glad that all the pieces are falling into place for you. Keep us posted, and when you don't have access to the puter, can a friend send one of us an email to let the groups know how you are doing. Just an idea.

Big hugs
