So, ya know how carb-cycling didn't really work out for me? Well, I quit. And gained back 10 lbs. After Thanksgiving, I felt really large. And tired. And out of shape. My clothes weren't fitting and I actually had to go out and buy a larger size jeans. Talk about a giant step back. So, I decided to take action. I threw out all the junk food in the house, much to my husband's chagrin. I gave up eating grains. All of them. No bread, No cereal, No potatoes, No beans, No crackers, No chips. Also No sugar. At all. And gosh was it hard at first. But, I persevered, and I've lost the weight I gained.
But now I have stopped losing weight, and I'm thinking I need to make another change. Possibly cutting out the dairy. I desperately clung to dairy. I love milk and cheese and yogurt and frozen yogurt and sour cream and cream in my coffee. But I think it's the reason I'm stuck. And I think I'm going to have to do without it. Or at least cut back.
Or I could go back to counting everything. Counting carbs. Counting calories. Blech! I dunno. I'm still pondering.
