Goals Other than Weight

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Good day everyone!

Today started off with a rough start but I'm thinking positive and the day has been getting better with each passing second!

I was thinking about goals I wanted to do besides just a goal weight. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Well I believe that we all can't fit into a cookie cutter mold; we are all different so if I say I want to weigh 120 pounds, that might be a great look for someone that is shorter than me but I might not. So I am aiming for small steps and see how that goes. once I get into the "healthy" BMI range than I'll figure out what steps to take next. For now here are some goals to reach until then

1. To be able to wrap a towel completely around my body!
2. To be able to have my boyfriend wrap both of his arms around me
3. To be able be more flexible with my body
4. To be more confident everywhere
5. To be able to purchase clothes from stores that I am not able to shop in currently.
6. To gain more upper body strength
7. To be able to run
8.To stop using hoodies and jackets as comfort blankets
9. To inspire others to be healthier
10. To be able to participate in fun activities with my friends
11. To win the 90 Day Challenge!!
12. To continue being positive with everyone
13. To be able to go up the stairs at my work without having to catch my breath
14. To be able to participate in swim classes

That's all I can think of at this moment but I will add to it later!

Have a great day!

Great vision to obtain your goals. Well thought out. A goal without a plan to get there is no goal at all. NICE PAGE ALSO. I want to get the hang of working my page. I'm just learning. Have a good day

This is awesome! Something that comes to mind is to fit into the hospital gown when I go to the doctors. Even though its only once a year they only have one size and it sure doesn't cover all of me. And they tell you to keep it open in the front! Just great! I guess they don't have the larger size or they haven't wanted to insult me. I don't know which would be worse anyway!

Another huge goal for me (which will probably take a while) is to just be able to sit without covering my gut with both my arms. I am so self conscious about how I look sitting!

Those are all great goals! I totally know what you mean about a certain weight being good for one person while maybe not being good for yourself. My "normal" BMI range for my height is like 110-150.. I'd look anorexic at 110! I think 130 would maybe even be pushing it.. I think 135-140 would likely be about my ideal weight.

I love all those goals, lots of things to look forward to! The more you work at it, the more you'll accomplish, keep it up! :)

I completely understand your other goals, especially when it comes to the stairs. I lost about 10 pounds thus far and I still get winded when I have to climb stairs! Whew!

Like you mentioned, continue to stay positive! You can accomplish all of these goals, just stay focused and positive.

Also, have you started your challenge at the gym yet? If so, much success to you!
