Workout to deal with emotional stress? Yes, please.

I HATE CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.
I found out this morning that I lost yet another family member to this awful disease last night. Mind you this is now the 7th person in my family to be taken by cancer - not to mention the people who have beaten and are currently battling it.
I'm not real good at dealing with emotions, I tend to bottle them all up until I can't hold it anymore and then I burst and it all comes out - it's not healthy and it's not a pretty sight to be seen - and in the past I have done some pretty dumb stuff during those explosions.
I have learned that rather than bottling it up, I need to find a better way to deal with these emotions. So, while today was supposed to be a day off of Zumba and I was supposed to do some calisthenics/strengthening, I needed the fast pace, so I did 45 minutes of Zumba instead. While this puts me over my calories burned target for the week, I NEEDED IT.
I'm learning that it's ok to do things simply because I need it.
I guess I've learned a life lesson. I just wish I had known this 9 years ago when I lost my mom to cancer.
Oh well, better late than never, right?
