In need of a scale

Thursday, January 24, 2013

So today I restarted my Atkins approach again and I think I have a better handle on it. I took to my books late into last night and took more notes on the hows and the whys. I feel good about my choices so far today. Slow and steady!

So, I donate plasma twice a week for money. You have to go through a few tests before they approve you to give plasma. One that I always look forward to is the scale. In my head, I always thought that hey, its a medial type location, their scales have to be accurate? Heh! 2 Thur ago, I was 145, The Tue after I was 140, that Thur I was 143, today I was 143. Each time you go you end up in a different room with a different scale. Today I thought I'm just going to go in with normal clothes and see what happens. I tend to go with just pjs and slippers so I can get a more accurate weight, it came to 143. I think I need to get my own scale because depending on them isn't doing anything for me.

Does anyone know of a good one? Cheap?

I feel good about today. I have a basket of Onion, Green Pepper, and Avocado on my coffee table. It feels a bit off but I like it. My husband to be is having a issue with it but its funny to watch :) We went to the store today and I was buying meat and veg and he followed per normal. He tends to cook for me so its hard to get him to understand Atkins. So far so good though. Wish me luck!

I swear I don't know how he is still alive! This man, eats 1 time a day, maybe 2 if he makes toast from rolls. He eats nothing but pasta, rice, bread, and coffee with heavy creamer. He doesn't drink more then 8 oz of water a week either. I've tried to help him change his ways but no such luck.

My scale is too cheap. Not a good one.

I hope your husband learns to like atkins. It's a healthy diet.

I got one at Bed Bath and Beyond from weight watchers, its digital and wasn't too expensive, about 30 dollars.
