Day 37 (Look back at January and Goals for February)

Good Morning! So I decided since there is only one week left of January (can you believe it????) I am going to go take a look at how I did with my January goals. I'm also going to make up some new ones for February.

January Goals:
-Register For School (Just editing/ peer reviewing my essay… Should be submitted by the beginning of next week :-) )
-Adjust Budget (Done!! Today’s pay day so I start putting it into effect today!)
-Blog Daily (I blog almost daily and log in 5/6 days out of the week)
-Improve Healthy Habits (I haven’t really changed any habits but I’ve kept them about the same. My budget will help with this because I have a set grocery shopping limit now)
-Finish TapouT XT (I finished the first week :-( but my goals for February should help me get back on track with this.)

February Goals:
-Log on everyday
-Continue improving eating habits
+Drink 6-8 cups of water a day
+Get 4-5 fruits/veggies a day
+Make at least 2 out of 3 meals at home
+Track food daily
+Take vitamins daily
-Start TapouT XT Feb 1st (When I finish the 90 days I might buy myself the next series)
-Lose 5 lbs by the end of February
-Go food shopping at least once a week
-Do laundry at least once a week

Okay that is more than enough goals for February. So I didn’t do as well in January as I thought but I didn’t do terrible. I found my scale and I still weigh in at 164. Considering I didn’t keep up with my goals as well as I wanted I am okay with that result. I didn’t lose any weight but I did keep off the 4 lbs I lost. I am going to measure myself either when I get home today or tomorrow morning and see where I fall with those.

Rewards for weight goals:
160- Get haircut
155- Buy new outfit
150- Plan a “me” weekend
145- Get a massage
140- Small tattoo
135- Buy new clothes
130- Get large tattoo (goal weight)

ual.asp?blog_id=5221256#comments ) But I wanted to add some things (kind of did this in my Day 30 blog) to what I have accomplished by pursuing this journey.

- I am off my medications due to exercise and eating better.
- I feel more in control of my life, I don't wait til I get to the corner to worry about what's around the bend, I plan for it.
- I have become a more positive person and have begun motivating/inspiring others... I think that's my favorite one :-)

Which lead me to, reading my old blogs. The first one is from 5/11. I don't even know this person anymore! First of all it was depressing because I was at 148 when I started back then and I had put on 20 lbs as of December 19, 2012. This girl is going on and on about how she doesn't have time to exercise. She can't change her diet. But she wants to lose weight??? What the heck! She disappeared for months at a time. And always reverted back to her old ways. Then at the beginning of 2012, there was some promise. She was going to kickboxing. She began to see improvements (inches wise never really lost any weight). She didn't really change her diet but she was doing alright. She then tried to do too many things at once. It didn't work and she gave up and gave in. Then in October she came back... a little bit... Then comes the me I know now who really started again on December 13, 2012. Working things in a little at a time. Using building blocks to set in my habits. Not just losing weight. Another thing that changed… She was not involved with any other aspects the site had to offer. Not SP teams, not many SP friends. Seems as though I have a record for doing well for a few months then I ruin it by dropping off the face of the earth. This time I am reaching out to whoever I can.

And if I can ask my SP friends a HUGE favor… If I drop off the earth for more than a week or two please please please write comments on my page or send me a message to come back and get with it! My SP account is linked to my email so I get notifications for pretty much everything. This is the key to staying healthy having people who care if you reach your goals or enjoy your advice/input. I want to continue on this journey, and I think my SP friends are just the people to help me do it. I don’t think I could without you guys, honestly. Thank you so much for being here for me and cheering me on, not sure I would be as active without you.

    You are doing amazing! And I think tonight I am going to write out my goals for February! So many ideas of what to achieve! I would LOVE to keep you accountable and on track to complete your journey :)

I guess I need to write my next blog, huh? I am sort of slacking!

    Love love love this. All of it! Yay for goal setting, yay for getting involved and using the site, yay for motivation. Makes me want to think through next month's goals, too. emoticon

    It looks like you've thought carefully about next months goals. The one about logging in every day especially. I need to be better about logging all of my food. Toward the end of the day, I get away from the computer and forget to fill it out. If I was doing better meal planning that would help. I will try to drop by your page and check on you!
