Oh my dear sweet jeebus, where has January gone??? Seriously, we have only 7 days left!
Man… this getting older and time going faster thing is complete bull –crap. Raise your hand if you miss those endless days as a kid, when waiting for Christmas took, like, forever and a half.
Can I have those long days back to do my crafty/fitness/fun things? Pretty please with rainbow sprinkles on top???
SO! Have you had a good January? I have. It has been all kinds of great!
On the 5th I went with a friend to check out the yoga studio where she works and I am IN LOVE guys, seriously, I want to do yoga always. I think I have found my perfect fitness activity, I never get sick of it, I might be too sore to do it , but I’m never sick of it (I have gotten sick of running, weight lifting, zumba, fitness DVDs, etc…)
I’ve been taking 2 or 3 classes a week since I joined on the 5th.
My current plan is to take classes for a year and get a good solid foundation and then go through their teacher training to become certified. It is the first step in my Quest for independence from a desk job! So excited!
This month I have worked very hard on my eating and tracking and calculating to make sure I’m eating enough and I have been working on breaking free from the scale. I was stepping on every day (literally) and tracking the fluctuations, but it wasn’t ACTUALLY motivating me to do anything. I’d like to get to the point where I am only stepping on once a month and taking measurements to keep track of my overall progress.
I will be weighing and measuring on the 2nd, can’t wait to see how my work is paying off!
For Jan and Feb I am putting together workouts for my bestie and myself, and for Jan we have been woefully neglecting our cardio, focusing on ST instead (and really just getting the d@mn workouts in! way too busy!) so starting now, I’m going to be trying for 2 or 3 cardio sessions a week and 2 or 3 yoga classes along with my ST
And then in March we have decided to do one of the Sparkpeople Challenges! Woot woot!
Was asked earlier this month to be available for sewing commissions for my home faire, so pretty soon I’ll be drowning in peasant and gypsy garb, oh boy. I am looking forward to it, really, I haven’t had much chance to do a lot of sewing in a while. It’s just the deadlines that might be an issue.
And last but definitely not least I will be performing in my 2nd burlesque show this Saturday! I’m so friggin excited!!!
How was your January?
and just cuz...
