I hit the scale last night after I got home from work. Was so NOT impressed with what stared back at me. First thing I thought when I saw that number was "Geez, what a failure!" and then I started a 10 minute long self speech on not degrading myself for a slight mishap.
I weighed in at 188.
Okay, you know what? I gained 3 pounds. If I remember right I read somewhere that you will gain a little at the onset of a weight loss before the scale dips the other way. So during my whole non-self loathing speech I reminded myself that I did go to the store yesterday and and picked up lettuce, celery, carrots, apples and chicken. I took this huge salad to work for supper, along with a carrot and some peanut butter and an apple. I drank tea for the first time in I don't know how long instead of soda. And I tell ya, I was stuffed!!
And while at the store I took the long way around! I went to Wal Mart, so I walked in the GM doors all the way back to sporting goods, down past electronics, through office supplies, past the registers before walking all the way back to the milk section and walking all the way around the outside aisles of the store.
So take that self-baser! Yeah, so what, you gained 3 pounds, but you won't be resting on this body for long!
