When something goes wrong--you're it on the "get it fixed" front.
Tuesday night, my car died. Of course, after everything closed, so Wednesday, I had to scurry about arranging to get it fixed, getting it towed to where it could get fixed, *AND* get to the place where I could rent a car to get myself to and from work. Well, I only ended up being a half hour late starting, which wasn't bad, all things considered. Still, it's a ding on my attendance record which otherwise has been perfect.
And now the car is fixed--so between car repair and rental costs, I'm out $450. Plus earlier this month, there was a furnace problem that took $330 to fix. Good thing I'd gotten my credit cards paid off so that I had room for all these expenses! Should get the income tax refund soon, so that'll put me back in the black (and maybe I can address some of the other issues that need addressing around the house--like the plumbing and the roof and the siding. One at a time.)
