So yesterday I got up and did 30 minutes on the bike, 15 minutes of circuit training and a toning video. Last night I decided, while my daughter was at dance I would drag out the treadmill. I normally stick with the elliptical or the bike however I wanted to do a little something different. I started off walking weird. You get so use to the elliptical getting back on a treadmill is different. I started off faster than I normally do so I thought well I have been working out so maybe my speed has increased the next thing you know I am running and I am not dieing. No one is chasing me with a gun! I use to say the only way I would run is if you came at me with the gun. ha ha! No gun necessary I am running and liking it. I got a great 3 minute interval in last night and boy am I sore this morning. My back end is not happy with me. Maybe some of it will just fall off. I can always wish can't I.
My January fitness challenge will be up next Tuesday and I was looking for another challenge to start up so I decided to make one with my team Working Mom's Feeling Guilty. I watch the biggest loser every week in envy over the amount of weight they lose and know I would never leave my family to do it. A small part thinks well maybe? If I could go on that ranch and drop 10 pounds a week I could reach my goal in 5 weeks and be back home. Back to the real world, none of us have 6 hours a day to dedicate to working out. And most of use don't have a team of doctors and professionals following us to make sure we have not over done it and all is well. So I created a challenge to start in February with team leaders on each group to send out challenges both physical and food related. Challenge the working moms can do and often include her kids. The goal is increase your calorie burn, while not taking away from your children and living a healthier life. So I am actually looking forward to this challenge.
I have been working out at least an hour a day. I fit fitness in whenever I can so I can increase my calories burned. I know I am burning to many calories for the calorie range I am eating in but I am hoping my body will continue to lose even though I am eating around 1200 calories a day and burning around 500 plus calories a day. I have been taking my vitamin and I am trying to get 5 fruits/veggies in a day, though it is normally closer to 4 unless it is salad day.
