Yesterday was an errand day for us and Steve wanted to go out to eat. So, I braced myself for it and we picked Perkins. We got a gift card from there for Christmas, so it made sense to use it.
We got there and I ordered water instead of my usual cherry coke. They have awesome cherry coke there, the kind they make by adding cherry syrup to coke. Anyways, I'm staring at the menu and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Then, I remember the Spark app. So, I get out my phone and am trying to find something reasonable to eat.
The things that looked reasonable... weren't. I finally just picked something and prayed because the waitress had been by three times asking if we were ready to order.
I picked the Turkey Ham BLT wrap and got an order of soup with it instead of fries. I picked tomato basil soup because that sounded healthier than loaded potato soup. Wrong!!! How can one cup of soup have 15 grams of fat in it?!?!?!
The wrap was pretty good, I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. Perkins website lets you customize your meal to find all your calories. So I checked that when I got home. I didn't eat the ranch dressing that came with the wrap, so that dropped off 200 calories and a big chunk of the fat.
All in all, I felt like I did pretty well. I'd like to be more prepared before I go out again, but thank goodness for the phone app!
I didn't work out yesterday. I am not feeling well and haven't been for several days. I did the yoga video on Monday, but my cough was too bad to do it yesterday. Exercise may go on hold until I'm no longer coughing up phlegm.
