Dancing with the Babies

Thursday, January 24, 2013

I had not realized just how little energy I had until recently. Every day this week I have turned on Pandora radio to the Toddler station and danced with my 3 and 2 year olds. My 14 year old even got into it with us on Tuesday when he was home from school. We did the Hokey Pokey, we shook like trees to Shake Senora. We laughed and spun around the living room and it was amazing. A month ago that would have rendered me breathless and tired. Not this week.
Sometimes it is the small things. I am a fledgling on this journey. I have A LOT of work to do to get healthy and reach my goal. But when the going gets tough, I want to turn on a silly song and dance around the living room with my babies. I want that be the reminder of how much I have changed in just a little time and how I do not want to go back to the breathless and tired Mommy that I was. Small things. emoticon

I love dancing with my kids. Everyone has a blast.

When my oldest was about 3 or 4 he was really into the Wiggles. He got the Big Big Show on DVD for Christmas. It was our winter exercise all winter long.
