An apple a day...

Thursday, January 24, 2013

My small step yesterday:

Had an apple and water for my bedtime snack. emoticon

Afternoon update:
Hubby brought home a DD hot chocolate (my vice) and a plain donut. That was breakfast. I searched the nutrition catalog (can it really be called nutrition?) The hot chocolate is 220 calories and the donut is 320 calories. UGH.

Lunch was a tuna sandwich (bread 110 calories, tuna w/mayo & green peppers?) with a cup of tomato soup (100 calories).

I need to get some more fruit, veggies, water and exercise in by the end of the day.

Evening update:

Not too bad. A serving of leftover pasta for dinner.
Saltines, blackberries and water for bedtime snack

Dang, that is one (calorically speaking) expensive little treat. My vice is Starbucks Chai Tea and a cake pop, which is similar. At least I got over the Sausage Breakfast Sandwich craze I was on - I didn't do my wallet, or my @$$, any favors with that little habit! I just left you a wonderful comment on your page, in response to your wonderful comment on my 100 Things blog and it POOFED off the page! I basically said I thoroughly enjoyed your comment and I love that you, like me, are good at building little pleasures throughout your day. Okay, Miss Hattie - good job on the apple choice. An apple a day keeps the chubbies away! emoticon

Still nice that he brought it though, wasn't it. I wonder how to tactfully tell your sweetheart you would appreciate a fruit plate better without sounding ungrateful..(they sell those too, he wouldn't have to make it). I don't have a sweet heart but I want one, if you know how to do that, tell me. I am not the most tactful person on earth but I am working on it

But sounds like you did really good on the other stuff. Way good on your bedtime snack. That bedtime snacking is a vice most of us have or had, my solution is a blueberry smoothie, just blueberries, banana, spinach, and almond milk. Takes care of my sweet tooth. I plan it ahead on my tracker so I'll have calories for it.
